Plastic Porous Bioceramic Bone Putty

【Composition and Performance】

This putty is made from porous bioceramic artificial bone particles (pure β-TCP) and medical-grade poloxamer etc. It is easy to handle in surgical implantation and can be shaped to fill any irregular bone defect space. The porous bioceramic has a well-connected porous structure with a total porosity of 70%±10% and an open porosity rate greater than 50%. Its well-connected porous structure provides conditions for new bone formation through osteoconduction. The product degrades within 6–24 months after implantation, releasing calcium and phosphate ions as components for bone regeneration during degradation. The high molecular putty also has a hemostatic effect on bone surfaces during surgery and can completely degrade within one month, which is beneficial for new bone formation.

【Indications for Use】

- For plastic filling and bone grafting in alveolar sockets, alveolar bone defects, maxillary sinus grafting, and alveolar bone augmentation;
- For plastic filling and bone grafting in non-load-bearing areas of limbs, spine, pelvis, skull, and minimally invasive surgeries;
- Application on bone surface bleeding points during surgery by smearing and pressing to form a thin coating to stop bone surface bleeding.
