【Composition and Performance】
This putty is made from weakly crystalline porous hydroxyapatite (HA) derived from bovine cancellous bone through multi-level purification and low-temperature calcination, combined with medical-grade poloxamer. It is easy to handle in surgical implantation and can be shaped to fill any irregular bone defect space. The micro-pores (5–50 nm) facilitate rapid adsorption of tissue fluid and proteins, providing an environment for bone cell growth and aiding material degradation. The macro-pores (>50 µm) allow bone cells and blood vessels to grow in, forming new bone through osteoconduction. The degradation releases calcium and phosphate ions for bone regeneration. The macromolecule paste also has a hemostatic effect on bone surfaces during surgery and can completely degrade within one month, providing a favorable environment for new bone healing.
【Indications for Use】
- For shaping and filling bone defects in extraction sockets, periodontal bone defects, maxillary sinus grafting, and alveolar bone augmentation.
- For shaping and filling bone defects in non-weight-bearing bones of limbs, spine, pelvis, skull, and minimally invasive surgery.
- Can be applied to bleeding points on bone surfaces during surgery by smearing and pressing to form a thin layer to stop bone surface bleeding.
